When: June 4-6
Grab your wheels (and helmet) and hit the trails, pavement or bike path in celebration of Bike Travel Weekend, an event that encourages families to ditch the car and head out on a weekend adventure by bike. What: National Trail Day
When: June 5
Volunteers around the country will come together to pick up trash, maintain trails and spiffy up our green spaces on June 1, improving 2,802 total miles of trail—the distance across our country.
What: National Fishing and Boating Week

National Go Fishing Day is a great day to take time from your daily routine to find a stream, a lake or pond, bait your hook, cast your line and catch a fish or two (or ten). Fishing is a recreational pastime of many, and if you’re lucky, you can bring home a fresh catch.
What: Great American Campout
When: June 20
Even if it’s just a pop-up tent and sleeping bag in your backyard under the stars, get out there and reconnect with the great outdoors. There’s a place to find your soul and set your mind to peace out in the great distant woods, and they’re calling all of us to head back out there and find ourselves. So, pile into your car, find a campsite near you, and join the Great American Campout!
What: National Canoe Day
When: June 26
Rent a canoe or take your own to a nearby river or to a place where an event is held for paddling and try your hands-on paddling on this day. If you need recommendations on where to go check out Florida’s Designated Paddling Trails
